Formula One, the world’s top racing-car circuit, will unveil plans today to run a Grand Prix race in June 2013 on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River shoreline.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expected to announce details at a press conference in Weehawken, where the race will begin.
The London-based Formula One organization, which has long wanted to get into the New York City area, has been in negotiations with Jersey officials for a 10-year deal that would be a financial bonanza for both sides of the Hudson. [Nypost]
