It took them a while, but Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith finally responded Tuesday afternoon to an InTouch Weekly magazine report claiming the high-profile Hollywood power couple had split.
Only a few hours after Jada Pinkett Smith’s publicist said her client “has nothing to say right now” — usually the kind of comment made prior to a breakup confirmation — the couple issued a statement denying they were ending their marriage.
“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false,” the couple said in their statement.
“We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”[suntimes]
