BOOM!!!??!! Leading music company EMI announced that new singing sensation, Zahara, has officially sold over 200 000 copies in just less than 30 days. We I'm not mistaken, she is the first SA artist to sell so much... to reach the 200 000 unit sales mark.
"It's been a while since I've witnessed such excitement over a new artist. By the time the CDs hit the warehouse, there is already a queue of music outlets ready to take delivery of their stock," said EMI Music Marketing Manager, Wandile Sikhosana on Tuesday morning.
The album, performed in isiXhosa and English, features a series of hits, from the highly popular 'Loliwe' to spiritually uplifting ballads such as ‘Destiny' and ‘Ndiza'.
