ANC Youth League Fights Back

 

The ANC Youth League executive will hold an urgent meeting this weekend to devise a reaction to the suspension of its militant president, Julius Malema.

Sindiso Magaqa, the youth league's secretary-general, said yesterday the meeting would consider the implications of the rulings of the ANC national disciplinary committee and "map out the way forward".

"The ANCYL has already formally registered its outrage at the fact that the disciplinary committee has meted out sanctions without affording the charged members their fundamental right to present mitigating circumstances," he said.
