FIFTEEN South Africans have made the Forbes list of the 40 richest people in Africa - with a collective net worth of more than $20-billion (R160-billion).
Nicky Oppenheimer, Johann Rupert, Christo Wiese and Patrice Motsepe are listed among the 10 wealthiest people on the continent.
It is the magazine's first list of the 40 richest in Africa and is a "testament to the growing global importance of the continent".
It was derived, according to Forbes, using stock prices and exchange rates on November 2.
The combined wealth of the 40 - all of them men, and with an average age of 61 - is $64.9-billion (R519-billion). [Timeslive]
